  1. Practice all activities on the monthly homework calendar. After you read a book, ask questions about the story. What happened in the beginning or the end? Who were the characters? Let your child retell the story in his/her own words. Recognize upper and lower case letters and know their sounds.

MCPS will provide limited in-person technological services and support at 45 W. Gude Dr. on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 21 and Jan. 22. A mobile bus service will be on site for families and staff who are in need of Chromebook support. Phone-based technology support will continue as usual via 240-740-7020. Staff will direct visitors as they arrive to ensure physical distancing and masking measures are observed.MCPS staff should call the Help Desk number for assistance.

Gude Drive, el jueves 21 y viernes 22 de enero.Las familias y el personal que necesiten ayuda para Chromebooks podrán recibirla a través de un servicio de autobús móvil en el lugar. El apoyo técnico por teléfono continuará como siempre, llamando al 240-740-7020. El personal dirigirá a los visitantes a medida que vayan llegando, ya que se deberá respetar las importantes medidas de distanciamiento físico y el uso de máscaras de protección.

Hello friends!!
Below is some information regarding this kindergarten year.
We are a blended class, made up of 2 cohorts: A and B. Please see the cohort rotation schedule attached below. Our class is also separated into two rooms: 120 and 128. Please be conscious of your child's room number for pick up and drop off.
On in-person days, we recommend you send students with a sweater, as it gets cold in the room due to the windows being open for ventilation. Also, please send students with their own water bottle, to avoid sharing the water fountain.
Students are offered free breakfast and lunch. If you choose not to accept this, you may send your child with bagged lunch. We also recommend sending a brown paper bag for your child to keep their mask in as they eat.
On days that your child is remote, please check our google classroom page and click each subject on our Bitmoji virtual classroom. Please view the slides for each subjects, watch any attached videos, and complete the assignments.
We check the math and sight word assignments in person the next day the child is in school.
Please submit writing, social studies, and science on the Google classroom each week.
Social studies is posted Monday and due Thursday.
Science is posted Tuesday and due Friday.
Sight Words are to be submitted on Friday.
If we switch to fully remote for any reason, please consult our Google classroom for remote schedules and updates.
When in-person school is in session, we host two Google meets throughout the day for the cohorts at home to join.
